I wanted to make alternative flour pancakes, and oats seems to be very fashionable at the moment so I decided to give this a go. It can be made vegan by substituting milk to almond milk for example.

The base recipe can be altered to include more flavours, such as cinnamon or vanilla.


2 bananas
2 cups of milk
3 cups of rolled oats
oil (for the pan)

Food processor / mixer, frying pan, kitchen tissue and tongs. Optional: cinnamon, vanilla…

How to proceed:

Put the rolled oats in the mixer, and mix until a powder texture is achieved.

Add the bananas, and milk and mix thoroughly.

It is as simple as that to make the batter! I did it all in my mixer…

Heat up a pan to medium, and use the tongs and oiled kitchen towel to grease the pan.

Add a table spoonful of batter and cook until the bottom sides does not stick and is golden.

Turn around an finish the cooking the same way. I will add a few pictures from my next batch!
